Overview

The Inqora Chrome Extension is a companion to the Inqora healthcare management platform. It provides an overlay within supported electronic health record (“EHR”) websites and displays relevant patient-care insights and suggested next steps to authorized Inqora users.

The extension is intended for customers of Inqora and only becomes active on EHR websites that have been approved and configured for that customer.

Information the extension accesses

When an authorized user visits a configured EHR website, the extension may access:

• Website content: limited content from the configured EHR page or its relevant network responses that is necessary to identify the patient record currently being viewed.
• Page and navigation information: the current URL and navigation events on configured EHR websites, used to recognize when the user moves between patient records.
• Authentication information: an OAuth sign-in token used to keep the user signed in and apply the access permissions established by the user’s organization.
• Extension preferences: configuration such as approved EHR hosts, the selected Inqora environment, and overlay display preferences.

The extension uses the patient context identified in the EHR to request information from the Inqora platform and present it in the overlay. Users who are not signed in cannot access Inqora patient information.

The extension does not capture or store a user’s general browsing history. Browsing activity outside configured EHR websites is not used to provide the service or transmitted to Inqora.

How information is used

We use the information accessed by the extension only to:

• authenticate the user and enforce their organization’s access controls;
• identify the patient record the authorized user is working with;
• retrieve and display relevant Inqora information, quality-measure guidance, and suggested next steps;
• maintain extension settings and improve the reliability and security of the service; and
• copy user-selected Inqora text to the clipboard when the user initiates a copy action.

Sharing and sale of information

We do not sell user data. We do not use or transfer user data for advertising, creditworthiness, lending, or purposes unrelated to the extension’s single purpose.

Information may be processed by Inqora and service providers that support the operation, security, and delivery of the Inqora platform, subject to applicable customer agreements and confidentiality obligations. We may also disclose information when required by law or to protect the security and integrity of the service.

Storage and retention

Extension preferences and the authentication token remain in browser storage until they are replaced, the user signs out, or the extension data is removed. Patient-related information handled by the Inqora platform is retained according to the applicable customer agreement, organizational requirements, and legal obligations.

Security

We use administrative, technical, and organizational safeguards designed to protect information. Access to Inqora information requires authentication and is limited according to permissions established by the customer’s organization. No method of electronic storage or transmission is completely secure.

Your choices

You can dismiss the overlay, sign out of Inqora, disable or uninstall the extension, and clear extension data through Chrome. For questions about access to patient information or your organization’s Inqora account, contact your organization’s administrator.

We may update this policy as the extension or our practices change. We will publish the revised policy on this page and update the effective date above.
